Nestled on 25 rural acres in Bedford County, Virginia, Staunton River Middle School serves a diverse community encompassing Body Camp, Chamblissburg, Goodview, Hardy, Huddleston, Lynch Station, Moneta, Stewartsville, and portions of the Smith Mountain Lake area.
Established in 1980 as the Staunton River Annex, it evolved from a facility housing 7th and 8th graders to officially becoming Staunton River Middle School in 1989. Rooted in our mission to educate diverse learners, nurture their potential, and empower them to be competitive, successful, and productive citizens, SRMS has become a beacon of innovation. Over the years, the school has garnered accolades for personalized learning programs that align with our vision of inspiring students to be lifelong learners, capable of competing successfully on the global stage while contributing to their community as productive citizens.
